Former Hacienda Tenexcac and Soltepec, Tlaxcala

Delve into the history and architectural richness of Tlaxcala by visiting two of its most iconic haciendas: Tenexcac and Soltepec. This tour will allow us to discover the legacy of the old pulque haciendas that shaped the region’s economic and social development during the 19th and 20th centuries.

At the Ex Hacienda Tenexcac, considered one of the best-preserved haciendas in Mexico, we’ll admire its impressive courtyards, barns, chapel, gardens, and spaces that have served as the setting for major film productions. Afterward, we’ll visit the Hacienda Soltepec, a magnificent example of Tlaxcaltecan hacienda architecture, where we’ll learn about the history of pulque production and the daily lives of those who lived on these large estates.
