About this tour
This tour invites you to explore Tlatelolco as a place where architecture not only creates spaces but also preserves history, confronts it, and keeps it in constant dialogue with the present. From the ruins of the ancient Mexica market to the Temple of Santiago and the Colegio de Santa Cruz, passing through modern housing complexes and spaces commemorating the events of 1968, the landscape reveals how each era has left its mark on the way the country is inhabited, governed, or imagined.Through plazas, gardens, and everyday spaces such as the Jardín de Santiago, the Jardín La Perla, and the Salón Los Ángeles, the tour moves from the monumental to the lived experience, showing that Tlatelolco is not just a historic site, but a territory in use, in tension, and in constant transformation.More than just a visit, it is an experience that allows you to interpret the city through its materials: stone, concrete, empty space, and the human body. A place where layers do not replace one another, but rather coexist, contradict one another, and continue to shape who we are.
